Lea and I met Danica at a meeting in Bellevue this morning. It was a gorgeous warm sunny day. We hung out at the club chatting for awhile. Then we decided to go get cheese steaks at
the Original Philly Cheesesteak place on the corner of MLK and Rainier in southeast
Seattle and go to the park for lunch.
The original idea was for cheese steaks and a walk around Seward Park. That got trimmed down to a car picnic at Stan
Sayres. Danica walks everywhere and Lea
was not up for a walk. Maybe another
day.
Lunch was yummy. I love Philly
cheese steaks and had not had one for a year or two. Looking north out over Lake Washington, we
watched the boaters, Mercer Island with its three drinking water born e coli
outbreaks (from as yet unknown/undeclared sources), traffic on the I-90
floating bridge and Mt Baker peeking out amongst the clouds in the distance. Classic rock music was playing at pleasant
volume level from another car across the parking lot. It was a great afternoon at the park.
I a grateful for a nice lunch at a waterfront park on a perfect day in
early October.
