The temperature cracked 70°on a gorgeous day in Seattle yesterday for
the first time since October 19
th with a whopping 72°. That broke a 46 year old record set in 1969
of 70°. That one day heat wave drops
back into the 60s and 50s over the next 10 days.
I am grateful for warmer weather, the warmest winter on record in
Seattle and for not having the snowiest winter on record like they did in
Boston.
Now I just need to get cracking on deck gardening…
In Vancouver Washington we had 74 degrees it broke all records, we went to a beautiful lake and walked til we dropped, today it looks nice but not in the 74 degree area...Warmest weather in 56 years here, we came in 1978 when one could get a house for $40,000 and on a nice piece of land, we tried to get to seattle but I could not get a federal job, we found a lovely Spanish style stucco in federal way for only $76,000 it had 3bedrooms, 2 full baths, central air, it was lovely..we wanted tolive near King county..Oh, when we look back it would have been lovely, but I could not get a decent federal job and we needed two incomes to live in federal way and now a couple needs 3 jobs to live in King county, in Bellevue where you reside it takes a bucket full of money to live there, you must be very blessed as it is more expensive to buy in Bellevue than in seattle proper it truly is, see how blessed you are!
