Went to my first follow-up appointment at the burn clinic today. My “mesh” graft is doing really well given my
paraplegia. Charlie the nurse-practitioner
pronounced me ready to get about and about as long as I elevate my ankle every
two hours.
Tomorrow, I will go to my first meeting in almost four weeks. That is the longest I have gone without a
meeting since I went to rehab in May of 1999.
It could be a lot worse inside my head.
I am grateful to be doing very well on a relative basis in both my burn
recovery and mental health.
