Five days to go until I again have a year of
sobriety. It is good to sober
today. It would be great to have never
relapsed… and even better to not have been an addict… If I were to get started on
if only, I would not know where to
stop. Dealing with life on life’s terms,
I clearly needed additional lessons on humility.
Humility
shows up in many ways, one the most important is asking for and accepting help
from others. Must often that is a
friendly ear to listen to me talk about my feelings—both good and bad—then give
me a hug and tell me they love me.
I am
grateful to be sober today. That is a
lot better than the alternatives listed by Narcotics Anonymous which are “jails,
institutions and death”.
ALMOST A YEAR, hip hip hoorah! you should be proud and you are vigilant in your quest for sobriety, live long and prosper as Spock always quoted, he quit smoking 30 full years ago yet passed from COPD, he fought the good fight and told everyone he knew and others to stop smoking..He lived a great and wonderful life, I liked him in many acting jobs other than Dr. Spock on star trek, his life musings were kind and gentle...You are a beacon to others it can be done humbly to be sober and alive and humbe..keep up the good fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
