An August Rainstorm

In August, Seattle is one of the driest places in the US.   For the next week, we are getting a November storm set from Hawaii, aka the Pineapple Express, that is forecasted to drop several inches of rain on a parched landscape.  It could not come at a better time.  We are having the worst fire season on record in terms of burned acreage.

I am grateful for an out of season storm sequence bringing rain and cool weather to our record hot summer.

  1. yes the weather people said some rain, we got nada and it is still hot here in our tiny town..100 year drought and it feels like living hell..I don't understand people who say I don't care, they certainly should the cost of food is rising, gasoline is rising, utilities are soaring and many are losing everything their homes, acreage, businesses...If I wanted to live in the valley of sun and hell I iwould have moved to Arizona, California, west and east Texas and poor Colorado is so damn dry it is almost the bleakest weather year ever.. 200 days of inclement weather is what it is suppose to be well since 2014 it is the driest year ever recorded and I don't believe it will be wet and wild in winter we have not seen any rain so far, who says it will rain..more like severe global warming and burning in hell..
