Six Days Without Rain

After the wettest winter on record, the long awaited forecast for 6 days without rain is finally upon us.  The temperature will crack 70° for the first time in 6ish months.   It has been a long wet winter.

My roommate and I ran a bunch of errands today.   It was good to drive on clear dry roads.   We will do the same again tomorrow.

I am grateful for longer, warmer and dry sunny days.

  1. We are going to La Connor Washington Wednesday to see the daffys and tulips..We will leave Vancouver Washington very early, I always pack a breakfast and my husband wants to be gone by 4:00 am! We have the day planned and I will bring a book to read..It will get to nearly 70 here in Vancouver and in the Skagit valley it will be in the high 60's! We will avoid Mt. Venon too many tour buses form BC and Seattle and rushes of others, if we don't go in March we miss the daffodils and lovely tulips but only in La Connor..We understand it was very wet up in seattle, but Vancouver had over 94 days of rain and it was warm but dreary we are ready for some sunshine, one cannot control the weather and when it gets warm we travel all over the state and enjoy the beauty of this gorgeous state, enjoy the warm weather coming for a full week!

  2. We are coming home on April 20, hoping the incessant rain will have gone somewhere else.
