Made a rib roast and (packaged) scalloped potatoes for an early
thanksgiving dinner for me and Lea tonight.
It was good and a nice way to get started on the long holiday weekend
with a quiet dinner between football games, reading, TV shows and homework for
Lea.
We will do meals with others on Thanksgiving and a big gratitude
potluck dinner on Saturday night. I like
to think of those as being like an extended family get-together. I got 15 pounds of black forest ham to take
to the dinner on Saturday night funded by our morning meeting.
I have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season and am grateful to
get to be able to share it with other friend and fellow travelers on the road
to happy destinies.
