Six of us went to dinner at Crossroads Mall tonight and then off to a
meeting. It was one their first sober
social events for at least two of them.
We had a nice conversation at the mall.
It was good to get out with others that were also new in recovery.
Several others wanted to go but did not make it due to a lack of money
or the wherewithal to go to a public social event. I feel for them. They also serve as a yardstick to show my
progress in being to help organize and participate in sober social events.
I am grateful for new friends, new activities and for making new
positive relationships with healthy people.
