President Hu Jintao and President Obama at the White House
I am grateful that we have more pragmatic and social political leaders that are willing to discuss issues in person rather than conduct a war of words from a distance. Talking is much cheaper than fighting over issues. Since this is a blog about gratitude, I will not review a bunch of whining senators that want China to do 'fix' its monetary policy while they continue to run the US further into trillions of dollars of debt.
"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful."
Buddha
Keep a green tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come.
Chinese proverb
Act with kindness, but do not expect gratitude.
Confucius
Five things constitute perfect virtue: gravity, magnanimity, earnestness, sincerity and kindness.
Confucius
